Crafties

I love to make things, sometimes I appreciate what I make more than others.  I get cheap jollies off of finding something that I love and adding my own spin on it and making it for way cheap.  I think I know how to sew, never took a class and can't very well follow a pattern, I crochet thanks to my lovely mama, I have gobs of unfinished projects laying in wait.  I am addicted to round mirrors and I will post proof of this soon.  I am addicted to Mod Podge, collages, bright colors and shiny beautiful vintage things.  I accidentally overdosed on color in my previous house and am now trying a neutral lifestyle.

I bought this tin tree at Hobby Lobby for about 7 dollars because it was half off.  Then I bought a pack of tiny round mirrors and used hot glue to glue them to the leaves.  This serving two purposes.  1.) Finding something to use the mirros on is like crack for me and it felt great.  2.) I think its rather cute.

The Quest for Starburst Anything...
Firstly I am quickly going broke, Secondly with my affinity to small mirrors I am exceptionally fond of starburst mirrors  I want ones like these the most..
Product Image Oversized Sunburst Mirror - Silver
so being the mirror crack woman I ventured to make my own starburst beauty.

I bought a foam circle for around a dollar, several dowell rods for .29 cents each, silver leaf, and dun dun dun...round mirrors 3.49 a package, and foam glue, 1.99. I poked the sticks into the circle like so...
And I will post my beautimous pics in a bit...

My Finished Project!  I LOVE IT!
